voted local levy
The school board voted 6-0 to adopt the election resolution to increase the voted levy. This would create $7.75 million new dollars for the school district. Part of that money comes from the opportunity to earn matching dollars from the state. The board agreed that the money is intended to go towards salary and benefits. They expressed that this new money will help to retain and recruit the best teachers, administrators, and staff. TEA supports this great effort of our board! We will need teachers to support and help to get the positive word out! Please contact your executive board member with any questions or concerns. Check out the August 8th board agenda for specific information on the resolution.
